Dependencies🔗
Purpose🔗
In the Dependencies area you model the relationships between processes and assets.
These links (e.g. input, output, technical dependency) are the foundation for subsequent protection needs inheritance along the chain.
Usage🔗
- Open the Dependencies area.
- Select the Process Dependencies or Asset Dependencies tab.
- Connect processes and assets using the available relationship types, e.g.:
- Input: the asset provides data to the process
- Output: the process produces an asset
- Process dependency: a process uses another asset for execution
- Save the links.
Protection needs can later be inherited along these dependencies (e.g. from a critical directory service to all dependent systems).
This makes the inheritance path transparent and traceable.
